This wonderful retrospective of life was written by Nadine Stair at age 85:

If I had to live my life over again, I’d dare to make more mistakes next time.

I’d Relax.

I’d Limber Up.

I would be sillier than I’ve been this trip.

I would take fewer things seriously.

I would take more chances.

I would take more trips. I would climb more mountains, swim more rivers.

I would eat more ice cream and less beans.

I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I’d have fewer imaginary ones.

You see, I’m one of those people who live seriously and sanely hour after hour, day after day.

Oh, I’ve had my moments mind you. And if I had it to do over again, I’d have more of them.

In fact, I’d try to have nothing else, just moments, one after another, instead of living life so many years ahead of each day.

I’ve been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without (I’m taking creative license here) a backup for everything: wallet, clothing, car needs a raincoat and maybe even a parachute.

If I had it to do it again, I would travel lighter than I have.

If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall.

I would go to more dances.

I would ride more merry-go rounds.

I would pick more daisies.

* At this point Ms. Stair ends. If I could add anything at this juncture of my 51 years it would be as follows:

I’d go to where the music was being created sooner.

I’d ask for the opportunity to audition for Sting, Seal, Sade and so many more.

I might fail more, but I’d have DSR less “what if?” Regret.

I’d call and visit my mother more.

I’d call my friends more and invite them to do something, anything.

I’d play with my son more and my phone FAR LESS!

I’d think before I speak. (Yeah… fat chance of THAT!! ?)

I’d speak less and listen more.

I’d be on the water more and at a desk less.

I’d ride my bike more no matter the heat or how fatigued I might feel.

In short, I’d play with all my heart.

Love and Live Your Best Life. The other stuff is just superficial.

I think Wang Chung sums it up nicely here: #LoudJamz #TomzTop40:
